Somedays I love to drive alone especially early morning & when drive alone i prefer not too long , for almost everyone who stay in chennai, the first preference is ECR. May be up to Mahabalipuram. But How many times you can drive in the same route ?? this same question came into my mind today, so i just tried explore some other route today.
This is the route i explore today
i started from Nandanam.
First stretch is Nandanam to Vandaloor ZOO : Via Guinday, airport, tamparam, this stretch is always busy because of airport and beacuse of buses. But early morning its not that busy you can drive peacefully but carefully.
As soon as you reach Vandaloor zoo take first Left.. This stretch is amazing ( i marked in red), wonderful road, no traffic & peacefull. You should explore this route once its really nice. If you go on this route you will reach Kovalam ECR junction. From there you can come back to chennai or if you can go till mahabalipuram or pondy whatever you feel like that time.
And when i stopped for a break, i saw bunch of serious bikers riding in ECR, like kawazaki #z800, #fz1, Ninjas, #Rc390 and lots and lots of Harley. It was worth to get up early and explore like this.
